June 6, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Data center operator and managed hosting provider Peak 10 (peak10.com) announced on Friday that audio recognition technology provider Landmark Digital Services (landmarkdigital.com) will house its mission-critical IT infrastructure within Peak 10's second regional state-of-the-art data center facility.
The announcement follows last week's new customer addition of customized technology solutions provider The Kotter Group, which is now hosting its services at Peak 10 Atlanta.
Completed earlier this year, Peak 10's second Nashville data center offers 10,000-square feet of data center space, providing Peak 10 Nashville with more than 20,000-square feet of data center space to meet the demands of its growing and diverse customer base.
The new facility will provide Peak 10's customers with additional room for growth and will be used to help them meet regulatory compliance requirements. The facility will also enable customers to reduce operating costs by maximizing internal IT resources through the security and availability of a complex technology infrastructure.
"Peak 10 engaged PTS Consulting Group, LLC, an internationally recognized mission critical facilities engineering and IT consulting firm, to commission Nashville's second data center," says David Kidd, director of quality assurance and compliance for Peak 10. "In a very structured manner, the formal commissioning process allows us to independently evaluate the integrated operations of individual data center systems in concert. Through in-depth testing with a team of professional engineers, we were able to effectively establish the capabilities and reliability of the data center's mission critical infrastructure."
A subsidiary of Broadcast Music, Landmark Digital Services offers a range of audio recognition products and services, including BlueArrow digital audio recognition technology. BMI acquired Landmark in 2005 when it purchased the entire porfolio of UK media company, Shazam Entertainment.
Peak 10 says commissioning plays a significant part of Peak 10's overall quality assurance program. The company ensures that all its data centers meet world-class standards and are engineered with multiple levels of security, uninterruptible power, redundant HVAC systems, fire suppression, and around-the-clock monitoring and management.
Each facility is also interconnected by Peak 10's private network enabling the company to meet its high availability objective and provide business continuity for its customers' mission critical applications.
Peak 10 Nashville provides managed IT and data center services that help to improve reliability, increase revenue growth, lower costs and maximize internal resources for customers while ensuring that their information technology assets are kept close to the business.
The company combines its secure network, high-tech data centers and portfolio of managed services with localized engineering and support to serve market-leading companies nationwide.
Peak 10 owns and operates data centers in nine key markets including Cincinnati, Ohio, Atlanta, Georgia, Raleigh and Charlotte, North Carolina, Tampa and Jacksonville, Florida, Nashville, Tennessee, Louisville, Kentucky and Richmond, Virgina.
