STRATO Launches SMB Business Portal

June 5, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- German web hosting provider STRATO (strato.com) announced on Wednesday that along with business portal solutions provider SITEFORUM (siteforum.com) it has launched STRATO Business Portal, a software as a service business portal to "maximize online opportunities for the small-midsize market."

Claiming to be the first web hosting provider to bring "scalable process-based software as a service" into the mass market, STRATO says its new business portal brings all the online functions SMBs need into one integrated and easy-to-use online service.

The new web-based service will be offered through a new corporate customer website (stratro-pro.de) where businesses will be able to access content management, online marketing, search engine optimization, analytics, sales and support tools as well as document management.

Headquartered in Germany, SITEFORUM says it is an integrated platform for web-based enterprise solutions, combining marketing, sales, support and resource management as an online service for more than 200 customers worldwide.

"We are delighted to provide this new service offer to over a million STRATO customers - both old and new," says Juergen Schlenzig, CEO of SITEFORUM Group. "Our feature-rich technology delivers affordable, world-class portals for every business starting immediately. The service will start at around $138.00 per month and STRATO says it will be taking care of all updates, patches and backups.

STRATO, a subsidiary of telecommunications company Freenet (freenet.de), reported last month it has become a member of The Green Grid, an organization comprised of IT companies and professionals that work towards uniting data center efficiencies worldwide.
