With 200 Gb/s of connectivity currently available in the network, the New Mexico network will enable local and state government offices to share information and information technology assets for greater productivity and economic efficiency, says Infinera. It will also connect to an existing digital microwave network that provides voice and data connectivity to rural areas of New Mexico. "We are excited to see a forward-looking state like New Mexico become the first state in the country to deploy a digital optical network," says Jagdeep Singh, CEO of Infinera. "With its ability to provide easily scalable bandwidth and carrier-class reliability at the affordable price points suitable for public organizations such as the State of New Mexico, we believe that Infinera is a great fit for government networks."
