June 1, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Email hosting provider Webmail.us (webmail.us) announced on Thursday it recently joined the Email Sender and Provider Coalition (espcoalition.org) and the Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group (maawg.org.).
The company says it joined the organizations to enhance its commitment to fighting spam while ensuring that good emails get delivered. Both organizations are focused on the fight against messaging abuse and continuously improving guidelines for legitimate email distribution.
"Stopping spam and helping customers with email deliverability have both been a part of our business for a long time," says Webmail.us CEO Pat Matthews. "But as the industry matures, it is important for us to align ourselves with those working on similar initiatives. MAAWG and the ESPC bring a wealth of like-minded organizations to the table. We are eager to work with them, learn from them, and hopefully contribute the things we have learned, back to them."
Webmail.us previously announced it appointed two executives, Ben Hubbard and Adam Williams, in the positions of VP of business operations and VP of partner relations, respectively.
