May 30, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Traffic management solution provider Zeus Technology (zeus.com) announced on Tuesday that it is offering organizations currently using Microsoft Network Load Balancer the opportunity to upgrade to the Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager for Windows software.
Zeus says ZXTM for Windows will appeal to those who are looking to deploy a load balancing solution with capabilities beyond the basic functionality provided by Microsoft's product. As part of the program, NLB users will be able to purchase one license and get a 50 percent discount on their second license.
"Microsoft Windows is extensively used in server environments," says Paul Di Leo, CEO of Zeus Technology. "We recognized this as an opportunity in a market that had previously been under-served. ZXTM is the only Layer 7 traffic manager to run on Windows Server systems, which is good news for our customers who have standardized on the Microsoft infrastructure and it's also good news for our channel partners with customers using a Windows environment only."
An alternative for Windows would be Resonate's Central Dispatch. Resonate's fully-featured Windows traffic management solution doesn't require virtualization software. posted by: Brad | June 07, 2007 03:16PM
