The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This latest acquisition will enable The Planet to introduce a new range of advanced services for dedicated hosting customers seeking to optimize their business results while still maintaining control of their IT infrastructures. These new services will also enable customers to choose advanced services from a modular suite of solutions.
Touch Support line of services include server administration, technical support, security audits and server hardening, server virtualization, migration, monitoring and managed backups. The company also offers hourly server administration support for customers looking for one-time or custom requests.
As the complexities of managing an IT infrastructure grow, The Planet is seeing an increase in the number of dedicated hosting customers requesting the company to provide additional services, says Douglas J. Erwin, chairman and CEO.

The Planet says it will announce its Advanced Services portfolio sometime during the third quarter.
