On Tuesday, The Planet (theplanet.com) announced that Internet product developer Directi (directi.com) had become a member of its affiliate program, which was first launched in January of this year.
According to The Planet's website, its affiliate program provides partners with a one-time 65 percent commission for each new dedicated hosting customer referred to the planet, after that customer's third month. The company says its current commission range "is $44-$1,700 with our average commission being $139.62 per sale."
Directi will reportedly direct business to The Planet through its community of more than 7,000 web hosting partners. According to The Planet, this is the company's largest affiliate relationhip to date.
Among Directi's businesses are ResellerClub, LogicBoxes and WebHosting.info, as well as publicdomainregistry.com, which The Planet calls "the 10th largest ICANN-accredited domain registrar in the world."
Last week, Directi reported that it had added a reseller promotion engine to its LogicBoxes automation platform for operating domain businesses.

"We have relied on The Planet's IT infrastructure for a large number of our Web Services.
