May 18, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Telecommunications company AT&T (thenewatt.com) announced on Wednesday that it had expanded its AT&T Network Integration Services for business customers in Canada, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Japan.
The expanded services are designed to help organizations overcome the hurdles they face in transitioning from legacy networks and IT environments to the next generation of secure network technologies. After controlled introductions in the US and Asia Pacific, the new services are now being offered as part of a complete AT&T global solution for the first time.
AT&T says globalization and other market forces are forcing companies to form tighter links with customers, partners and vendors and give remote workers access to data.
The Network Integration Services include network and vendor consolidation; WAN and LAN infrastructure design and construction; security policy compliance checks and remediation; data center management; interoperability design and testing; help desk support; VoIP and network convergence assessment; application design and management; telecom aggregation; customized servicing and maintenance contracts and private network design and construction.
"This past year has seen impressive growth in the networking market as well as a strong need for these types of services," said Mark Keiffer, chief marketing officer-business at AT&T Operations. "In today's global economy, telecom is vital to every country, and AT&T is at the forefront helping businesses grow and succeed. With AT&T's strong history and proven knowledge base in designing, building, operating and integration networks, we're in an excellent position to provide these value-added services to our customers."
