May 17, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Research and analysis firm Keynote Competitive Research (keynote.com), a subsidiary of mobile and Internet performance solution provider Keynote Systems announced on Monday that it has launched seven new Web performance indices covering leading Web sites in credit card, e-banking, e-brokerage, news, retails, social networking and top ten Internet brands.

Keynote says its new home page vertical indices enable Web operations teams, application developers and online business managers to measure and compare the performance of their Web sites against that of leading sites in many different online categories, set service levels objectives accordingly and tune their sites for optimal performance.

"For ten years now we have been providing our customers with access to the industry's most accurate and representative Web performance indices to allow them to compare their site performance against the competition and set performance benchmarks and service level objectives accordingly," says Vik Chaudhary, VP of product management and corporate development at Keynote. "With the launch of these seven new indices covering highly competitive segments of online business today, Keynote continues to lead the way by providing the tools and intelligence that companies need to succeed on the Web."

The new indices will be available to Keynote customers who are using Keynote's Application Perspective or Transaction Perspective High Frequency monitoring products, says the company. Qualified customers are provided with one free summary index representing a composite or aggregate view of all the Web sites in a particular index and can purchase additional indices for $100 a month per summary. Customers can also purchase detailed index data showing the performance of all the Web sites in a particular index for an additional fee.
