May 16, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Reseller SSL certificate provider GlobalSign (globalsign.com) reported this week that it has seen a significant recent increase in partnerships - a term that, particularly in reseller-related service businesses, tends to be somewhat interchangeable with "customers."
Level 1 PCI DSS Certified Service Provider! DataPipe delivers the best network & support; top tier data centers; New York metro, Silicon Valley, London, Hong Kong, Shanghai. DataPipe - Personal Touch, Global Reach.
The company says "many" of its new resellers have switched away from competing SSL reseller programs, claiming better margins, strong and feature-packed SSL certificates and dedicated account managers are among the primary reasons for making that switch.
The company says it is entering the second quarter of 2008 "with hundreds of satisfied new members."
GlobalSign says its Partner Certificate Center enables hosts to quickly manage customer SSL certificates. The "self-service portal" architecture helps resellers to react quickly to their customers, enabling basic functions like certificate reissues and invoice generation handled without technical support people.
"We're happy to report that GlobalSign is shaking up a stagnant SSL market dominated by just one or two players." said Steve Waite, marketing director for GlobalSign in the press release, "In 2007 we recorded the highest increase in growth rates of all the major SSL Providers and we're set to be just as disruptive in 2008 with new technologies and initiatives. Plus, with almost 50% of the world's SSL Certificates residing with North American companies, it's no surprise that US web hosting companies are taking advantage of the huge opportunity to sell the GlobalSign brand into a market that wants something different."
GlobalSign has a landing page set up for its partner program, at which the company says resellers can get "instant discounts with zero commitment."
