May 15, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Business software developer Lawson Software (lawson.com) reported on Thursday that it would be working with IBM to provide a managed hosting product to customers in the EMEA region.
Level 1 PCI DSS Certified Service Provider! DataPipe delivers the best network & support; top tier data centers; New York metro, Silicon Valley, London, Hong Kong, Shanghai. DataPipe - Personal Touch, Global Reach.
The managed hosting service, called "Lawson Managed Hosting," is, according to the announcement, "designed to help customers get the most out of their Lawson ERP investment while reducing demands on their IT resources."
According to Lawson, IBM will be the official hosting provider for the company's on-demand and hosted offerings in the region.
The managed hosting service was created, says Lawson, to help simplify the "enterprise application ownership experience" for its customers, offering a single contract and point of contact for every aspect of the installation, providing support, maintenance and accountability from the same source.
Lawson managed hosting was launched in the US last year. And according to the company the service was well received by customers.
"In addition to the many Application Management customers we already serve in EMEA, we are now providing them with this additional option for hosted solutions," says Stephen Thornton, senior vice president for Lawson in EMEA. "It gives our customers greater choice and helps alleviate unnecessary burden of owning and using enterprise applications."
