May 15, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- European Web hosting provider Netcetera (netcetera.im) announced on Tuesday it has appointed David Boswell as chief operating officer. The appointment coincides with the opening of the £10 million Dataport data center in the Isle of Man and is part of the company's ambitious international growth strategy.

"Dave has the broad range of skills and experience required to take our company to the next level and we are very please to welcome him aboard," says Peter Skelton, managing director for Netcetera. "The Dataport offers the most advanced and cost-effective facilities for housing IT infrastructure available anywhere offshore. As our global customer-base continues to grow, Dave will take the helm to ensure operations grow apace and continue to run smoothly."

David Boswell brings to the role extensive tech knowledge, broad experience gained from a range of industry sectors and an in-depth understanding of offshore markets. He previously served as head of IT operations and governance at Beazley Furlonge, one of Lloyds of London's top underwriting Syndicates, where he was responsible for infrastructure, operations, support, security and finance.

Prior to that, Boswell served as an independent consultant to UK and Isle of Man technology and finance companies, as well as holding senior roles in several Isle of Man organizations including Skanco Business Systems, Clerical Medical International and Global Asset Management.
