In a press release issued by the software developer, united hoster says Parallels Automation software has enabled the host to launch business-class email and collaboration services that are based on hosted Microsoft Exchange and hosted Microsoft Windows Sharepoint services.

United hoster is also offering the Parallels Plesk Control Panel with its dedicated hosting and VPS hosting plans.

"Parallels Automation makes our internal processes as efficient as possible so we can offer our services to customers and partners at attractive price points," says Alexander Pelz, managing director of united hoster. "Resellers can easily customize the Parallels software to brand their own hosted services without the significant investment that is typically required."

Serguei Beloussov, CEO of Parallels, says united hoster isn't simply offering system integrators, IT consultants, Internet agencies and resellers "easy access to the growing hosting market," but is also giving them the opportunity to create additional revenue while improving customer retention through leveraging Parallels Automation and the Parallels "Open Platform" initiative, which uses APIs to facilitate the integration of its virtualization and automation technology with any sort of third party application or system.

The offerings are being made available to end users and resellers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the UK.

Parallels announced several other new relationships last week, including a relatively standard customer win with Liquid Web, and an interesting partnership where it will resell myLittleAdmin, a web-based administration tool for Microsoft SQL Server 2005.
