May 3, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Content security protection provider Anchiva Systems (anchiva.com) announced on Tuesday that it has received new funding of $7 million from venture capital firm, AsiaVest Partners.
AsiaVest Partners joined this round of funding as a lead investor, with many of the company's previous angel investors also participating. The financing brings the company's total funding to $10.5 million. In addition, Franny Lee, a partner at AsiaVest, will join Anchiva's board of directors.
Anchiva Systems plans to use the funding to further develop its Internet gateway solution that protects against spyware, spam and viruses five times faster than the industry standard.
