Menard will manage the recently formed business unit, developing new solutions designed specifically around Microsoft and Windows environments. The company says it plans to make additional announcements around new products and services this summer.

"Cody Menard brings deep experience with Microsoft and its Windows division and he'll serve as a critical resource in developing our solutions for Microsoft-based environments," says Kahan. "As we continue to diversify our product portfolio to meet the fluid demands of our global customer base, his extensive technology background and ability to build solutions from the ground up will be critical to the successful delivery of our future offerings."

Prior to joining The Planet, Menard served as a group program manager in Microsoft's Windows Division, where he was responsible for ensuring that critical business applications remained compatible with new Windows releases.
