April 28, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting software provider Ensim (ensim.com) announced on Monday that financial software solutions provider CashEdge (cashedge.com) has deployed Ensim Unify Enterprise Edition to secure and automate the management of its active directory servers.
Level 1 PCI DSS Certified Service Provider! DataPipe delivers the best network & support; top tier data centers; New York metro, Silicon Valley, London, Hong Kong, Shanghai. DataPipe - Personal Touch, Global Reach.
CashEdge says it provides "innovative, online financial applications to banks, credit unions and wealth management firms," with solutions that include end-to-end online account opening and funding, funds transfer, small business payments and invoicing, and data consolidation.
CashEdge says it picked Ensim Unify to help streamline the day-to-day provisioning, configuring and management of its more than 400 employees who are located in its offices in New York, Silicon Valley and India.
One of the biggest advantages of deploying Ensim's platform, says CashEdge, is that it "alleviates the ongoing security challenges that have developed from the company's rapid growth," including user provisioning and de-provisioning, password reset requests and active directory maintenance processes.
In its most recent press release, Ensim says its platform can reduce the number of help desk calls by as much as 40 percent as well as eliminate repetitive administrative tasks, enabling IT departments to focus on more strategic tasks.
"Ensim Unify allowed us to immediately reduce the amount of time spent on basic active directory management by forty percent," says Davis Truong, CashEdge's senior systems engineer. "By giving access to Ensim Unify's web portal, we can enable users to change their passwords and manage their own distribution lists without having to rely on IT, giving our department the ability to focus on mission-critical projects."
Over the past couple of months, Ensim Unify has also been set up by YouSAAS to speed up its deployment of Microsoft Hosted Messaging and Collaboration 4.0 as well as by Japanese telecommunications provider KDDI to help deliver its SaaS offerings.
