April 24, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Multimedia design and development company Media72 (hosting.media72.co.uk) announced on Sunday that it had launched a new Web hosting service targeting Web designers.

The company says its Web hosting offering is aimed at designers and developers that require more control over their hosting that ordinary Web hosts allow.

"As Web designers and developers we found it very difficult to find a hosting solution that would fit our needs, especially when starting out," says the company's press release. "Every hosting company would either restrict our ability to design and develop compelling, cutting edge Web sites by restricting control, or we found ourselves renting dedicated servers where we had to manage everything ourselves when all we wanted to do was install some extra software to run a cool feature on a Web site."

To celebrate the launch of the new product, Media72 says it is offering a discount of 33 percent on all new account signups.
