April 23, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Windows-based Web hosting provider MaximumASP (maximumasp.com) announced on Monday it has selected storage solution provider Compellent's (compellent.com) storage area network to streamline administration, continuously back up the company's and its clients' critical information and provide immediate offsite replication.
MaximumASP says it selected Compellent because it reduced the time IT staff had to spend managing data compared to the previous storage system. Storage Center's ease of use, integrated storage management applications and automated capacity planning enables MaximumASP to easily keep pace with its rapidly growing data needs, says the company.
With Compellent's scalability and modularity, MaximumASP says it can also quickly expand its disaster recovery offerings to end-users. Storage Center's support for heterogeneous server connections including iSCSI and the ability to dynamically migrate data between SATA and Fiber Channel disks enables MaximumASP to keep storage expenditures low and accelerate its growth in the high-end dedicated server hosting industry, says the company.
"Our goal is to continuously offer state-of-the-art business continuity and provide world-class hosting and data center services to our clients," says Wade Lewis, MaximumASP managing partner. "Our online disk storage capacity requirements are growing at a rate of 300 percent as we expand to meet our clients' needs for backup and restore services. Compellent's ease-of-use allows us to provide each client customized storage capabilities efficiently and cost-effectively, while cutting our administrative time in half."
