April 17, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- IBM-supported blade computing technology community Blade.org (blade.org) announced on Monday that it has signed 18 new members, expanding its membership to 60 companies. The company also launched two partner-driven, blade-based "security-in-a-box" solutions.
Formally established in February, Blade.org provides collaboration and tools to software vendors and business partners looking to reach new markets and customers for blade-based technologies. New Blade members announced include Azlan, Blade Network Technologies, Chelsio, Ericom Software, IDT, LANDesk Software, Neterion, Privacy Networks, Sirius Computer Solutions, Teradici, and more.
Additionally, security information management software provider and Blade member OpenService launched its Security Threat and Compliance Management Solution, a real-time security threat and compliance management solution based on IBM BladeCenter.
In the new packaged solution, OpenService ported its Security Management Center to BladeCenter to provide a highly-available and scalable security information management solution that allows security personnel to remotely access, view and email recorded video footage-helping speed interaction with law enforcement.
