April 15, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Colocation provider TELEHOUSE America (telehouse.com) announced on Tuesday it has appointed Yasushi Kubota its new president and CEO, replacing Toshiaki Miki, who was recently named VP of KDDI Europe. In a dual appointment, Kubota was also named the president and CEO at KDDI America (kddia.com/eng/index.html), TELEHOUSE America's parent company.
He will be responsible for leading TELEHOUSE's domestic business plan, while also seeking to optimize global collaboration with its TELEHOUSE sister companies in the UK, Paris, Tokyo, Beijing, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Kubota will also manage plans for collaboration with KDDI affiliates, facilitate plans to further enhance the company's global ICT offering and help to reinforce KDDI's positioning as a global telecommunications and system integration provider.

Kubota has over 25 years of experience in IT and telecommunications, serving in a number of positions at KDDI, including GM of global business planning, GM of global corporate Sales, senior manager of global networks projects and manager of international relations and affairs.
He also serves on the board for the Telecommunication Industry Association, which is comprised of thousands of information and communications technology professionals in standards, government affairs, market intelligence and product-oriented environmental compliance.
Last month, TELEHOUSE co-hosted its Breakfast on Broadway seminar in New York City, along with management consulting firm Windward IT Solutions and virtualization software provider VMware.
