April 12, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Disk-based backup solution developer Righteous Software (r1soft.com) announced on Tuesday its line of continuous data protection applications now support SWSoft (swsoft.com) Virtuozzo for Linux.
R1Soft's CDP agent for Linux Servers now supports SWSoft Virtuozzo versions 3.0 and higher. In addition, the company supports all 2.6 Linux versions and offers installers for most popular 32-bit and 64-bit Linux distributions, including RedHat Enterprise, CentOS, Debian, Fedora, OpenVZ and Ubuntu.
"While Virtuozzo provides only a limited virtual environment, it is possibly the most popular virtualization software in the Web hosting market," says Dave Wartell, R1Soft founder and CEO. "Our latest CDP agent release makes it as easy for Virtuozzo server administrators to use our data protection software, and we look forward to continuing to expand the reach of our near-Continuous Data Protection products."
