April 12, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider and NTT Communications subsidiary Verio (verio.com) announced on Wednesday that NTT Communications has introduced its new Open Computer Network Shared Hosting Service for Windows in Japan.
Based on Verio's shared hosting platform for Windows, the suite encompasses products and services essential for small businesses and developers to establish and manage a presence on the Internet, including a variety of Windows-based hosting plans that meet the diverse needs of small businesses in Japan.
The OCN Hosting Service also offers Verio's MultiSite technology that enables customers to host multiple domain-based Web sites within one shared hosting plan. OCN Hosting Service customers can host up to 25 sites with unique URLs, all under one account for a more cost-effective solution.
"This is the first time NTT Communications has offered a shared Web hosting service based on Windows to meet the needs of .NET Web developers in small and medium sized enterprises," says Masaaki Sano, director of broadband IP services for the business division at NTT Communications. "Our small and midsized business customers can now experience the same level of stable, reliable, and innovative services as Verio's high quality shared hosting services for Windows at a reasonable price."
