IDNs - domain names that are expressed in native languages - have helped the Internet become more accessible to countries around the world. In the past, translating western character domain names to other languages was a difficult process because popular scripts, such as Arabic, Chinese or Cyrillic, have characters that were not previously supported by Web browsers.
Registering an IDN with Go Daddy enables consumers to build a complete online presence in nearly any language since many of Go Daddy's products including Web-based email and Web hosting plans support non-Western language-based characters.
"GoDaddy.com is committed to making it easier for consumers all over the world to navigate domain names," says Bob Parsons, Go Daddy CEO and founder. "With internationalized domain names, users can find what they need in their own language."
Go Daddy says its email offers virus protection, spam filtering, phishing fraud protection and 256-bit encryption for free. All of Go Daddy plans are backed by round the clock customer Support, world-class data centers and a 99.9 percent uptime guarantee.
