March 25, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Data center software provider Aperture Technologies (aperture.com) announced on Tuesday that electrical products manufacturer Emerson Electric Company (emerson.com) has completed its acquisition of Aperture, which was first proposed by shareholders on February 25. The terms of the financial agreement were not disclosed.

Emerson has acquired 100 percent of Aperture's share capital. Aperture will continue to be led by Bill Clifford, only it will operate now as an autonomous business division of Emerson Network Power which has annual revenues of approximately $5.2 billion.
The company's Liebert-branded power, cooling and monitoring products and services are used by companies around the world to manage critical data center applications. Emerson Network Power is a division of Emerson, which reported 2007 revenues of $22.6 billion.
Aperture's VISTA is an enterprise software solution that delivers IT service management processes to reduce operational risk and improve efficiency within the data center.

Emerson's shares rose 79 cents to $51.53 on Tuesday afternoon.
Last November, Aperture joined the BladeLogic Data Center Alliance program, providing IT organizations with a unified platform to integrate physical and logical infrastructure for managing change and compliance in the data center.
