March 10, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Virtualization and automation tools provider SWsoft (swsoft.com) announced on Friday that it is developing Virtuozzo support for Intel Virtualization Technology capabilities, including the recently released Intel Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O specification.

By supporting Intel VT and Intel VT-d, says SWsoft, Virtuozzo will offer customers additional levels of manageability, security, isolation and I/O performance.

The SWsoft Virtuozzo with VT support is scheduled to be released later this year. Virtuozzo VT-d support will follow in conjunction with platform availability. In addition to the close technology collaboration efforts between the two companies, Intel Capital is also an investor in SWsoft.
