March 6, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Client-side search engine tyBit (tybit.com), a subsidiary of Web hosting provider AIT (ait.com), announced on Thursday that it has released the newest beta version of its search application.
"We expect to be completely done with beta by May 2008," says Sean McCoy, chief marketing officer of tyBit. "Then we go live and are looking at six to seven figures a month in online ad revenue."
Following months of development and user feedback, this latest release delivers cleaner, faster and more relevant search results than before, says the company. Enhancements to the new release include new shop feature sources, like Pricegrabber and CNET shopper, the Ask.com Web source as well as a "Did you Mean?" spell correction that automatically suggests a search word if you've misspelled yours. The company has also added a Webmail feature, tyBit Mail, as well as an auto completion function that remembers your most recent searches, similar to a browser.
Users can download the newest version by going to tybit.com and clicking on the "Download tytBit" link.
TyBit recently launched a new video contest rewarding $10,000 in cash prizes. Deadline for the contest is April 30.
