March 6, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Internet business solutions provider Internap Network Services (internap.com) announced on Thursday that it has signed a five-year $40 million contract with Web hosting provider SoftLayer Technologies (softlayer.com) where Internap will deliver data center colocation, route-optimized IP networking and content delivery network services. This new agreement is in addition to the five-year $16 million contract announced by the two companies in November 2007.

These Internap services will expand SoftLayer's on-demand hosting infrastructure to the Eastern United States and be seamlessly integrated with SoftLayer's data centers in Dallas, Texas and Seattle, Washington, say the companies.
