March 4, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Online collaboration tool provider NetConnect (netconnect.com) announced on Monday that it has launched Team Portal (teamportal.com), a new Web portal for businesses looking to improve teamwork and collaboration with customers and partners. NetConnect says the service is a completely new way to host Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 applications and templates by simplifying the management and provisioning of Office SharePoint Server 2007 sites, users and roles.
Team Portal gives the manager of a team and the team members an efficient tool to gain control of information and tasks for the teamwork, says the company. The team manager can choose from a selection of templates that range from a simple document sharing site to more comprehensive projects. Team Portal also offers integrated real-time collaboration with Microsoft Office Live Meeting, including audio and video conferencing.
