February 14, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider and data center operator Liquid Web (liquidweb.com) announced on Wednesday it has implemented a series of capacity upgrades to its network infrastructure.
One of the main changes include a dark fiber build reaching each of Liquid Web's data centers as well as the completion of an on-site high capacity state-wide DWDM network. Liquid Web says it brought additional capacity online from Tier 1 provider AT&T as well as a full OC48 with Tier 1 provider Level 3 Communications, which has extended the Liquid Web network by greater than three gigabits, bringing its total IP capacity to nearly five gigabits between its four Tier 1 providers
The company says this is only the first of a series of major upgrades and will enable Liquid Web to cater aggressively to high bandwidth clients and expanding network requirements of server operations in general.
"The success of our clients is our success as well and we are committed to supporting them in every regard," says Matthew Hill, CEO of Liquid Web. "This is merely the first in a series of enhancements which we will be offering to our users in the coming months."
