February 13, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Go Daddy (godaddy.com) recently announced that Prince Andrew stopped by the Go Daddy headquarters on Tuesday as part of a trip designed to improve economic ties between Britain and the US. The Duke of York made the trip as the UK's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment.
In this role, Prince Andrew is responsible for helping British businesses grow and expand, meeting with trade partners and promoting the UK as a location for new investment. During the tour, the Prince met with Go Daddy president and COO Warren Adelman, who also provided a first-hand look into the inner-workings of one of Go Daddy's customer care facilities.
"It was an honor to spend some time talking Go Daddy business with Prince Andrew," says Adelman. "There's no doubt, we are growing at a lightning fast pace. As the world's largest domain registrar, it makes sense for us to look at a range of opportunities for expansion - including overseas."
Go Daddy says that with the presence it already holds in Arizona and nationwide, it is evaluating its options for international development. Currently, the UK is Arizona's sixth largest export market, with the state shipping nearly $803 million worth of goods to Britain in 2006, according to the US Commerce Department.
Earlier this month, more than one million views were tracked to Go Daddy's website during the Super Bowl as viewers logged on to see Danica Patrick's rejected "Exposure" commercial online.
