8 to Infinity has also waived the setup fees for its Celeron and Single CPU P4 servers, while reducing Xeon dedicated server setup fees by more than half. The increasing volume of dedicated servers hosted by the company has enabled it to negotiate better pricing for its vendors.
Higher-ended dedicated servers including the new Dual Core and 4 Way CPU dedicated servers are also being marketed for the first time because of the growing demands of more sophisticated customers. Top-level Hotswap and hot spare dedicated server offerings are also gaining popularity.
"The continued decrease in prices and increase in capacity of the hard disk storage space as well as RAM coupled with our increase of sales allow us to negotiate better pricing for more powerful machines which are pass on to our clients," says Lim Boon Chuan, chief technical officer of 8 to Infinity.
