January 31, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Internet consolidation company NetSky (netskyholdings.com) announced on Tuesday it has launched an online digital photo hosting service called PictureFlex.com (pictureflex.com).
PictureFlex is a digital photo hosting service that provides Internet users with free storage for their digital photos online. Users can sign up for free and post their digital photo album to be displayed openly to the general public or keep all of the digital photos private.
NetSky says the company plans on generating revenue from the Web site in three ways, including by offering interested advertisers banner space and links, premium storage services for a fee and by offering members quality products, such as actual bound photo albums, that contain their choice of digital photos.
"NetSky owns the code and software for PictureFlex and we believe that PictureFlex is an important part of building a portfolio of value-added, revenue generating Web sites," says Robert Thayer, CEO of NetSky. "PictureFlex is a great hosting or storage site for digital photos. It's simple to use and allows members to upload their photo images and store them online with no fuss."
