January 30, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Client-side search engine tyBit (tybit.com), a subsidiary of AIT (ait.com), announced on Wednesday it has launched a new video contest (tyBit.com/contest) rewarding $10,000 in cash prizes.
Contestants are asked to film a short video using any idea, plot, skit, or situation they wish. The contestants must then upload the video to YouTube (youtube.com) and fill out the contest form at tyBit.com/videocontest.php.
tyBit judges will track the views, discussions and downloads associated with the video and award the top three winners cash prizes of $5,000, $3,000, and $2,000, respectively. The top twenty videos will be featured on the tyBit website. Deadline for the contest is April 30, but tyBit encourages contestants to enter as early as possible to gain more capture views and generate discussion.
The company recently announced it has just added a new search tool that enables users to search multiple engines, protect their privacy, accelerate searching, offer fresh content based on preferences and shop the Web to find the best deals.
tyBit announced last week it is launching three major initiatives as it moves from beta mode to full production by the second quarter of 2008.
