January 26, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider Apollo Hosting (apollohosting.com) announced on Thursday that it had added the MailBoxCop email filter to its hosting plans.
MailBoxCop blocks harmful attachments, filters spam, quarantines potentially dangerous email and provides white and blacklisting capabilities. The filter is updated automatically with current threats.
"This cumulative analysis of spam email creates a far more effective filter than one which relies solely on the selections of a single user," says Martin Field, CEO of Apollo Hosting. "The filter's quality benefits from the experience of all users, and all users in turn benefit from a more effective filter."
MailBoxCop is available with all of the company's shared hosting, virtual private server and dedicated server plans.
