January 25, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting automation software developer SWsoft (swsoft.com) said on Wednesday that it had recorded over 160 percent growth in 2005.
"SWsoft had another excellent year in terms of growth and execution against its business plan, and was one of the few VC-backed companies we've known to exceed its aggressive performance targets," says Mike Triplett, managing director of Insight Venture Partners, an SWsoft investor. "The company continues to reap the benefits of its leadership in the under-the-radar but highly profitable service provider market, and its move into enterprise server virtualization came just as that market truly began to heat up."
The company opened offices in Japan, China and the UK last year, doubling its headcount to more than 600 employees. SWsoft says it is planning to double its headcount again in 2006, with a focus on its US-based staff.
SWsoft's customer count passed the 10,000 mark in 2005. Its solutions power more than 120,000 servers at a growth rate of 10,000 new servers per month.
"Last year represented several significant milestones for SWsoft and we look forward to producing even greater innovation and growth in 2006," says Serguei Beloussov, CEO of SWsoft.
