The Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 was developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as a method of measuring and reporting the effectiveness of operations and controls of a service provider. Independent auditor Chilton & Medley conducted Hosting.com's SAS 70 audit.
The SAS 70 auditing format enables Hosting.com to convey to customers it has met the industry-accepted internal operations and security precautions, complete with Chilton & Medley's stringent testing and assessment of each of the controls.
