January 9, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Telecommunications provider XO Communications (xo.com) announced on Tuesday it is supplying high capacity network services to Availius (availius.com), a subsidiary of complex interconnection services provider FiberNet Telecom Group (fibernet.com).
XO is providing Availius with 2.5 Gbps long haul and metro private line services and other high-speed transport services in multiple markets across the United States. Availius will use XO nationwide long haul and metro network transport services to support its Network Solutions business, which provides innovative network connectivity along with ongoing monitoring and management.
"With our Network Solutions business steadily increasing, so is our need for long haul transport services," says John Dowd, VP of business development for Availius. "XO has long been one of FiberNet's reliable providers so it was a natural decision to turn to them for these services."
Availius uses FiberNet's expertise and resources to offer network and data facility operators a combination of intellectual capital and implementation capabilities in network solutions, infrastructure solutions and business solutions.
