SWsoft Names Senior Technical Advisor

January 8, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting software provider SWsoft (swsoft.com) announced on Monday it has named Richard Wirt the company's senior technical advisor. In the role, Wirt will assist SWsoft as a resource to the development team and advisor to senior management.

"Richard's depth of industry knowledge and technical expertise will be an invaluable addition to our fast-growing team," says Serguei Beloussov, CEO of SWsoft. "His role will include helping us develop business relationships to benefit our customers and our company."

Wirt has previously served as vice president, Intel senior fellow and general manager for Intel Corporation's Software and Solutions Group. He was instrumental in creating and enhancing the value of Intel's silicon and platforms through innovation in software technology.

He serves on the Open Source Development Lab board that helps determine the Linux's direction for the industry. Additionally, Wirt serves on the board of advisors in computer science and engineering for both John Hopkins University and University of Illinois, and served as the Intel representative on the board of directors for the Enterprise Grid Alliance.
