January 4, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting equity firm EnActen (enacten.com) announced on Thursday it has completed the acquisition of Canadian dedicated and shared hosting provider Alentus (alentus.com). At the time of the transaction, Alentus reported more than 107 consecutive months of profitable operations.

As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner that focuses on premium Windows based hosting services, Alentus provides dedicated services to thousands of customers including Fortune 500 firms such as Coca-Cola, Intel, Kellogg's, Sheraton Hotels, Fidelity Investments, and departments of the United States and Canadian governments.

Alentus offers a range of hosting services to enterprise services such as managed converged voice, unified messaging, WAN connectivity, colocation and dedicated Internet connectivity solutions. Once the transaction is completed, EnActen says it will effect a name change to Alentus.
