January 4, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Utility computing software provider PolyServe (polyserve.com) announced on Thursday it has partnered with enterprise technology solutions provider immixGroup (immixgroup.com) to make PolyServe's File Serving Utility and Database Utility software available to federal, state and local data center customers.

PolyServe says that through immixGroup's range of government contract vehicles, even more government agencies will begin to employ PolyServe's shared data clustering technology to achieve high-performance, scalable file serving via network attached storage, or server and storage consolidation for their databases.

The partnership with immixGroup strengthens PolyServe's growth in the global government sector, says the company, and with current customers such as the US Department of Defense, the US Army and other state and local agencies, the government sector is a stronghold for virtualization technologies and clustered storage.
