January 31, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Application traffic management software provider Zeus Technology (zeus.com) announced on Wednesday that ZXTM Global Load Balancer has been shortlisted for Network Computing's (networkcomputing.com) 'Product of the year' award.
Launched last June, ZXTM GLB is a DNS-based global server load balancing system and is available as both software and a hardware appliance.
The solution works alongside an Internet traffic manager to enable organizations to scale their Internet-enabled services to multiple data centers. In doing so, it helps data centers improve their reliability, usability and performance, creating a better experience for users by directing them to the best performing or closest data center.
"Zeus is proud to be short listed alongside other industry leaders in this category," says Paul Brennan, CEO and chairman of Zeus. "The product is unique in that, unlike most Global Server Load Balancer products available today, ZXTM GLB is not tied to a particular load balancing platform. It functions equally well alongside any load balancer and other infrastructure products and is very easy to deploy and use. ZXTM GLB also provides a far more comprehensive and engaging visualization of actual traffic than any other product available."
