January 2, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Go Daddy (godaddy.com) announced on Thursday that its philanthropic work for 2007 has totaled around $1.4 million in charity donations alone.
The Scottsdale, Arizona based company helps organizations dedicated to a variety of causes, including domestic violence, child abuse, blind children, unwed mothers, homelessness, as well as Parkinson's disease, Juvenile Diabetes, food banks and animal shelters and says that 2007 has been a record year for donations and incentives to help out these groups.
Some of Go Daddy CEO, Bob Parsons' more notable contributions in 2007 included a donation of $200,000 to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International as well as a donation to needy children in Tuscon, Arizona during the Sun Riders 26th Annual Motorcycle Toy Parade.
Go Daddy says its employees have also benefited from the company's most successful year ever with more than $1 million awarded in the form of cash, cars, a year's mortgage paid, a four-year college scholarship and a trip around the world that included 20 paid vacation days and $10,000 spending money.
Last month, Go Daddy joined Hendrick Motorsports in sponsoring its first NASCAR team featuring two-time Nationwide Series driver, Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
