January 2, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting software provider oDesktop (odesktop.net) announced last week it has gained considerable interest and support from Web hosting providers after it released the desktop application in mid-December.

oDesktop delivers a set of desktop applications in a software-as-a-service model. Currently, oDesktop offers seven applications, including oDrive, oPhoto, oMusic, oNetwork, oEmail, oNews, and oGames.         

oDrive includes features comparable to Windows Explorer, enabling users to perform file backup, multiple file and folder uploads, file management and network sharing. oPhoto enables users to create personal photo albums online, while oMusic lets users to listen to their favorite songs, upload songs in MP3 format or share music files among friends.

oNetwork enables users to organize network groups, send or download files and grant or block user access for file sharing. oEmail includes email client features, such as inbox, compose, search, address book, trash can and rich text editor. Finally, oNews updates users with the latest RSS news feeds and oGames allows users to play Flash games directly in the Web browser.
