January 2, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider and domain registrar Go Daddy (godaddy.com) announced last week that it gave away more than $1.3 million to employees as extra incentive in 2006. The company now employs more than 1,300 people and says that much of its success can be attributed to the excellent customer service delivered by its employees.

"We learned a long time ago, happy employees are productive employees," says Bob Parsons, Go Daddy CEO and founder. "It's good for business and good for our staff. Giving more than people expect is one of my favorite parts of the job."
At the company's annual holiday party alone, Parsons handed out nearly $300,000 in cash prizes. Go Daddy routinely gives high performing employees new vehicles, trips, electronics and cash prizes, with taxes paid.
Parsons also awards well-deserving workers with mortgage payments for an entire year, a move that landed the company on a CNN.com Best Workplace Perks list in 2006. For 2006, The Go Daddy Group expects revenues of $241 million, an increase of nearly 80 percent over 2005.
