January 2, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Israel-based telecommunications provider Bezeq International (bezeqint.co.il) announced on Tuesday it has established its first US-based POP with data center operator and colocation provider NYC Connect (nyc-connect.com) in New York City.
The company says this network expansion enables BI to immediately connect to more US networks, reach more enterprise customers and reduce costs for backhauling traffic to Israel.
The new deployment is located in one of the world's premier technology buildings, says NYC Connect. Under its management, the facilities are designed to provide demanding international customers an optimal colocation environment that ensures maximum uptime.
"Bezeq International is an aggressive service provider, focused on expanding its global network and competing with top service providers around the world," says Nissan Arie, BI's VP of global business division. "In establishing a presence in the US, we need a partner who understands our business and can work closely with us to ensure our requirements are met and turn up our service rapidly. As our business expands in the US and worldwide, we are well positioned to grow now with NYC Connect."
