Industry Perspectives Guest Blogging

The WHIR’s Industry Perspectives is a content-sharing opportunity that enables brands and individuals to connect with an audience of hosting and cloud industry professionals. Industry Perspectives appear alongside our regular editorial content and are distributed through our social media channels and newsletters.

Review the Industry Perspective submission requirements below. Then email us your idea or an outline to get started.

Industry Perspectives – Editorial Guidelines:

* Submissions need to be original, not published in print or online anywhere else. Industry Perspectives are for the use on the WHIR only. While you’re welcome to write on the same topic elsewhere, we ask that Industry Perspective content don’t appear in the exact same form on other websites, blogs or publications. By submitting an Industry Perspective, you agree that your article is original.

  • All submissions must include a one or two-line bio of the author and a high-resolution headshot

* Content — The content focus is educational and thought leadership, rather than marketing or sales. No sales pitches please. The aim of each submission should be to provide information and utility to our readers, your peers. As such, we remind you that the tone of these submissions should be that of a blog post, not of advertising or marketing collateral. Submissions are welcome on any topic, but we are particularly interested in these areas:

  • Web hosting

  • Cloud computing

  • Industry best practices or trends

  • Next-generation technologies

  • Security/Disaster Recovery

  • Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Customer Service

  • Marketing

  • Electronic Payment Processing

  • E-commerce

  • Web hosting in various regions (Europe & Asia)

* Word count – Submissions should be between 500 to 750 words. Multiple part series are welcome, too.

* Graphics – We welcome graphics that illustrate your column. PNG format works best for charts or graphs with text in them. Video is also welcome (embedded YouTube video is preferred).

* Scheduling – We will do our best to provide you with a date range within which your approved article will be published. We will work with you if there is a specific date you want to publish, however we cannot guarantee specific publishing dates.
