SRS Engine’s advanced business management system is based on Tucows OpenSRS reseller system but goes further with interfaces to other reseller programs such as Hostopia, ZoneEdit or resellers’ own custom services.
“The problem with the native programs such as Tucows’ Perl program is that it was designed to be an example, not a solution.” says Steven Kidd, director of sales for SRS Engine. “Many resellers limit their potential by relying on the simplistic tools provided by reseller providers. Because SRS Engine was developed where the tires meet the road, our system has the experience to address the actual needs of resellers; it is a much more robust and complete end-to-end solution.”
Kidd says the system is popular because the real strength of the software is its focus beyond the actual sale on the back-end administration. The system takes care of sales reporting and accounting, and can even interface into Commission Junction to track affiliate referrals. The system integrates fraud protection, so resellers can track trusted or fraudulent consumers.
SRS Engine is easy to implement, because integration into any Web site only requires knowledge of HTML. The system uses the PHP-driven SMARTY template engine, and can be installed by the SRS Engine team for a nominal fee.
