Good start but some extra tips.

No one is going to remember that link. Redirect the browser using .htaccess. You can see how to here:

When I surf to thewhir.com with my iphone I get a page can not be found.

Thanks for the tip, I will look into doing that. I am able to navigate to thewhir.com on my iPhone with no problem, so at least we have that covered.
