Since chatting with Sandip Gupta on WHIRtv at HostingCon last year, a LOT has been going on for managed IT service provider NetMagic, including a recently secured $20 million in financing, a rapidly expanding footprint within and outside of India, as well as an undisclosed number of new US-based remote infrastructure management (or RIM for short!) customers, which have yet to be announced.
Although many hosting companies based in the US outsource their level-one tech support to countries overseas, particularly India, NetMagic came onto the scene last year with a rather unique outsourced, remote service for data center management. Along with all the standard managed hosting services, which the company provides from its several India-based data centers, NetMagic offers hosting providers remote management of their data centers from NetMagic’s India-based NOC to data centers anywhere in the world.
We recently ran into Sandip, president of NetMagic, at an event in Vegas and asked him to give us an update of his company’s recent developments and what we can expect to see from the managed service provider in the near future.
