SWsoft Hosting Summit – Interview with Serguei Beloussov, SWsoft

As you’ve probably been reading in Liam’s blog, the WHIR was down in Virginia for SWsoft’s second annual global hosting partner summit and this time around WHIR TV was also on location for the action.

While at the event, we were lucky enough to catch up with the man of the hour Serguei Beloussov, CEO of SWsoft, and chat with him a bit about his thoughts on the event as well as some of the key topics that were extensively discussed throughout the sessions, namely the inevitability of Software-as-a-Service and the benefits of virtualization. If you couldn’t make it to the event rejoice, as we’ll be posting clips from Serguei’s keynote as well as the other sessions in the following weeks.

We’ve been bumping into Serguei at different hosting-related events for the past three years and it’s always a pleasure getting to speak to him not only because he has some forward-thinking views on the movement in our industry, but because he almost always ends up surprising us with some unexpected goofiness. This is a man who has deservedly built a reputation for himself as one of the movers and shakers in our industry and who also has time to have hacky sack fights with fellow CEOs (like Andreas Gauger from 1&1) while doing an interview at HostingCon. True story!
